Maintenance work and investments
Maintenance work and investments are held on all water systems due to local legislation.
Water system operators contribute to water conservation by reducing water wastage. Due to pollution of surface water, 20% of fish are threatened with extinction.
Maintenance work is also available for emergency service outside office hours, Sundays and holidays - twenty-four hours a day.
It seems quite obvious that water flows from the tap whenever it is opened. But it is not so!
Regular maintenance of water supply systems can not be foreseen in advance, planning can only be based on the experience from the previous period.
Water system in municipality Bled and Gorje consists of:
- 180 km of water pipes,
- 450 hydrants,
- 3.500 households water connections,
- 45 other buildings.
